MediaCorp stations help Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund

MediaCorp Singapore’s Tamil stations Vasantham and Oli 96.8FM will partner Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association (LISHA) and the Singapore Red Cross in helping the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.

Nepal was struck by a devastating quake on April 26 in which more than 5000 people are estimated to have died and more than a million have been affected.

The stations are inviting members of the public to contribute towards the affected families in the disaster as they begin to rebuild their lives.

The Singapore Red Cross will channel the funds collected towards acute emergency relief and recovery efforts for the affected communities and the people who have lost homes and livelihoods.

LISHA has set up a temporary booth with a donation box along the newly extended pedestrian walkway along the frontage of Little India Arcade, Serangoon Road in Singapore.

The booth will remain open from April 30 to May 10 from 10am to 8pm daily.
