MediaCorp releases music video of ‘The Gift of Song’ winner

MediaCorp has unveiled the music video of These are the Days, the winning entry from ‘SG50: The Gift of Song’ – a song-writing competition to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday.

 With music and lyrics by winner Lee Chin Sin, the video features MediaCorp’s talent show winners Farisha Ishak, Shabir, Sufie Rashid and Alfred Sim as well as Julie Tan, Tay Kewei, local musicians The Lorong Boys and the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir.

The four-minute MV also showcases special appearances by members of the Singapore Police Force and YMCA Deaf Generation, Team Singapore 28th SEA Games athletes and students of Pei Chun Public School and Methodist Girls’ School.

The music video, which took three months to complete and shoot, will air on MediaCorp’s television channels, Out-Of-Home screens and over-the-top service Toggle while the song will be played across MediaCorp’s radio stations from July 14.

Chang Long Jong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, MediaCorp said: “The production of the music video is the climax to the year-long journey of The Gift of Song. This mega music video is not just a gift to Singapore from MediaCorp but from everyone involved in the project.”
