Link: Life-saving radio begins in typhoon hit Tacloban

An emergency radio station broadcasting from a suitcase went live across Tacloban on Thursday.

The channel was deployed by Rapid Response Radio, an NGO of broadcasst technicians and can be heard up to 10kilometres away, according this article by IRIN.

The station hopes to stay on air for the next month.
