Singapore’s Kiss92 FM’s gave away a wedding package worth $60,000 to Janson and Jae, who were won the station’s Perfect Match contest.
Joe and Kelly came in second place and Jonathan and Erika came in third.
The contest’s finale saw the three couples completing a series of tasks at attractions around Sentosa as part of their final challenge.
The finalist couples were shortlisted from over 50 video submissions received in March.
The couples went through a six-week long competition which saw them taking on on-air and physical challenges.
On air, the couples were tested on their knowledge of each other, the familiarity they have with their future in-laws and partners’ best friends, their compatibility with each other – which was determined by a marriage counsellor, and their honesty with each other by putting them through a polygraph test.
Their communication and coordination between one another were tested during a cooking challenge where they had to create a delicious dessert, a luggage challenge where they had to pack a luggage allowance of 30kg within 92 seconds and a diving challenge which tested their non-verbal communication underwater where they had to find a box of wedding bands within 20 minutes.
The winning couple won themselves a honeymoon trip, flight tickets, a home renovation package, wedding venue and dinner, $888 cash, a wedding car, a wedding florist, a wedding suit, bridal gown, bridal hair and makeup, wedding photography, wedding bands and a wedding cake.
Reflecting on their win, Janson and Jae said: “ It was a really close fight among us all, and we would really like to thank the other two couples for their support throughout this six-week journey. The support we gave each other helped us to pull through some demoralising moments.”
