Nostra Map Thailand’s mobile application will now feature live traffic reports from JS100 Radio in Bangkok and surrounding provinces.

The Nation newspaper reports that initially, the service will provide traffic information but in the near future users will be able to input information themselves, such as pinpointing the location of an accident.

Nostra Map Thailand is a free map service with around a million points of interest with an accuracy rate within 4 metres.

The app is supported by both iOS and Android platforms and will soon be available on Windows Phone.

Already downloaded 700,000 times, Nostra hopes to get 1 million downloads by the end of this year with its collaboration with JS100 Radio.

Suwimol Puengprasert, executive director of Pacific Corporation, which operates JS100 Radio, told The Nation: “In an era when almost all people carry smartphones, we need to get our live traffic reports out to them digitally.”
