JJ Lin tops UFM’s U1000 music countdown 2019

 

JJ Lin, a singer and songwriter from Singapore, took the first and second spots in this year’s annual U1000 countdown by UFM 100.3.

UFM is a Mandarin station run by SPH radio and this is the seventh edition of its countdown.

U1000 chart is the station’s list of top 1,000 songs and part of its to identify the most popular Mandarin pop songs among listeners every year.

The winners for this year were revealed on Friday

Lin's Little Big Us was followed by another of his songs, Twilight, and Chinese singer Lu Hu's The Sound of Snow Falling, the closing theme song of Yanxi Palace in second and third spots respectively.

Chinese singer Tia Ray's Shuo San Jiu San (Be Apart) was fourth, and Chinese singer Kelly Yu's Ti Mian (Decent) clinched the fifth position.

Local actor Aloysius Pang's song, Black Tears, also made it to the list of 2,000 shortlisted songs. Pang died in January this year after a military training accident. His final ranking was 137.
