This includes new product updates, topical presentations, round tables with special guests, and even “virtual booth meetings” to help personally support their broadcasting needs.
One of the recent webinars in this series was titled DAB: Complete Solutions for Total Network Deployment and featured T.Lantz.
It examined the advances in compact, cost-effective DAB transmission solutions ideal for deploying across diverse geographies. New compact gap fillers, multicarrier systems, and higher-power liquid-cooled options can arm broadcasters with a full array of solutions that can be tailored to specific network needs. It also explored codec-to-exciter movement of audio and data from the studios through the transmission network over IP by leveraging the robust transport capabilities of GatesAir Intraplex products.
The DAB system provides spectrum and power efficiencies, provides for many services, superior audio quality and data Services for mobile, portable and fixed receivers.
GatesAir radio product family includes Low Power VAXT 80 watts to 150 watts Ultra Compact, Air Cooled VAX 300 watts to 450 watts and VAX 550 watts to 750 watts; and VLX Liquid Cooled VAX 1.2kW – 13.6kW and VLX 3.8kW – 45.6kW.
The DAB Ultra-Compact models feature High-efficiency Doherty PA’s, VHF BIII is a single broadband design 170-240MHz, ETI and EDI inputs, additional input board options, adaptive pre-correction circuits with MER > 33dB and are onfigurable as: Transmitter, On-channel SFN Gap-Filler, or Transposer.
Maxiva DAB Air-Cooled VAX-OP Series has the same 1RU exciter/driver and same input option cards as Ultra-Compact, is available with single-drive or dual-drive (option), multiple PA systems include a 36RU rack (single PA systems – rack optional) and has a GPS/GLONASS option.
Maxiva DAB Liquid-Cooled VLX-OP Series offers high efficiency (Broadband PA’s), low consumption pump and heat exchanger, coolant reserve tank for automatic liquid refilling which reduces on-site maintenance.
GatesAir also offers a MultiCarrier DAB Transmitter which allows up to 3 DAB+ Carriers to be generated or re-transmitted through a single amplifier, advanced pre-correction and linear broadband amplification, is more economic than standard solutions, more compact and less expensive to operate due to lower power consumption.
