First Hindi radio broadcast launched in Kuwait

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait said on Monday that the first-ever Hindi radio broadcast had started in the country.

The program will air every Sunday on Kuwait Radio on FM 93.3 and FM 96.3 from 8.30 pm to  9 pm starting April 21.

With around one million population, Indians are the largest expat community in Kuwait and both the countries enjoy friendly relations.

India has been a trading partner of Kuwait and until 1961 the Indian rupee was legal tender in the gulf country. The year 2021-22 marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
