Fabulous 103 FM back on air in Thailand after seven months

Pattaya’s Fabulous 103 FM resumed broadcast on December 12 after being off-air for seven months following the military coup in May when many stations were shut down.

The Pattaya Radio owned station has merged with Mix 885 and got the permission to go back on air from the country’s media regulator – National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

The station has also signed a contract with the BBC World service and is focusing introducing more chart toppers in its music library.

It returned on the airwaves with the morning show hosted by Tommy Dee along with Zha Zha and featured the new drive time host Goldfinger as a mystery guest.

The team admitted they were initially a little nervous going back on air after a long gap but enjoyed getting back to their routine.

Dee also played a message from Tony Prince – the veteran radio DJ who worked for pirate stations Radio Caroline and Radio Luxembourg in the 1960s and 70s.

Fabulous 103 FM was the first English station to start broadcasting in Pattaya 12 years ago and targets expats and holidaymakers.

It can beard online at www.pattaya103.com.
