‘Every vote counts’ in RED FM election initiative

With the 16th general elections in India just around the corner, 93.5 RED FM is encouraging people to vote, in association with the Election Commission of India.

With its election awareness campaign ‘Dabaa Ke Bajaa’, the station’s RJs will present themselves as ‘Youth Ambassadors’ in their respective cities.

They will take the responsibility of getting its population to pledge to vote through a series of on-air and on-ground activities.

The campaign will run through the entire duration of elections from April 7 to May 12.

Mr. Akshay Rout, Director General, Election Commission of India said: “With over 814 million registered voters, there is no better medium than radio to reach out to the masses and get them to cast their vote.”

Ms. Nisha Narayanan, COO, 93.5 RED FM added: “It is a humble initiative and we are confident that we will play a valuable role in mobilising people to come out and vote in unprecedented numbers.”
