ERA FM, Astro Radio’s flagship Bahasa Malaysia language station, remains the country’s number one radio channel, according to the latest Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement survey.

Around 4.7 million people tuned into the station each week during September’s radio listening research.

ERA also saw its exclusive audience nearly double year-on-year from 691,000 in September 2012 to 1,147, 000 this year.

Its morning show JoHaRa Pagi ERA continues to be the number one breakfast show in the country with 2.4 million listeners.

The station regained its leadership position in 2012 after earlier losing market dominance to sister station Sinar FM.

As a group, Astro Radio – which operates 10 FM stations and 13 satellite audio channels – reached 12.2 million people per week in September, according to Nielsen data.
