Debt ‘Doctor Wang’ to help Malaysia radio listeners

Malaysian radio stations Suria FM and 988 have created Doctor Wang – a debt doctor – to give financial advice to listeners as money worries continue to rise in the country.

The Star Radio group stations have teamed up with the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency – AKPK – which was set up by Bank Negara Malaysia.

Agency representatives will play the role of Doctor Wang on both stations sharing simple and practical financial tips with listeners.

Malay language station Suria FM will air the segment on Tuesdays, 8 am to 9 am, during the breakfast show, Ceria Pagi Suria.

On Chinese station 988, Doctor Wang will appear on Thursday from 8-9am on the Morning Up show.

The activity is being backed up with on air contests to win about US$60 (RM200).
