Radio professionals from across Asia are being invited to participate in this year’s Radio Asia conference.

To be held in Colombo from May 22 to 24, the theme for this year’s ABU-organised event is “It’s All About Content: Positioning New Radio In The ‘Knowledge Society”.

Sri Lankan broadcaster MBC Radio is the local host for the event which will see more than 300 radio broadcasters, content developers, regulators and other industry players under one roof.

In its 10th edition, RadioAsia2014 will provide an opportunity for local radio broadcasters to exchange ideas with substantive participation from leading broadcasters in Europe, United States and the Middle East.

It will highlight the importance of creativity and content in radio programming and accessing audiences on all relevant technological platforms.

As an added feature, the 2nd ABU Radio Song Festival will be organized on 23 May in conjunction with the conference.

The song festival is a musical showcase from across Asia, Australia and the Pacific.
