Bryan Curtis to retire from RTHK

 

Bryan Curtis, RTHK’s Head of English is to retire later this month.

Curtis, who is the host of popular early morning business programme ‘Money For Nothing’ on Radio 3 has been with the public broadcaster since 1988.

Curtis has been heading Radio 3 since 2002 and led the station’s English programming services since 2005.

Local media reports that Curtis is bound by civil service retirement rules to leave when he turns 60 on September 18.

Created after the global financial crisis, ‘Money For Nothing’ looks at markets, global finance trends and economic policy with analysts, investment gurus, economists, entrepreneurs, businessmen as guests.

Hugh Chiverton, the current head of Radio 3, will take over from Curtis as head of English programming.

Chiverton co-hosts ‘Backchat’ – the morning current affairs programme that follows ‘Money for Nothing’.
