BIG FM’s stand-up hunt goes to 70 new towns

India’s 45-station network 92.7 BIG FM is back with the second season of ‘Hajmola Chatpata No. 1’ – a talent hunt for the best stand up comics from the state of Maharashtra.

The earlier phase of the hunt, held in the northern states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, attracted over 6500 participants.

Auditions for the latest round began on January 15 in 70 towns across Maharashtra and are open to individuals as well as pairs.

The month long campaign will culminate in a Grand Finale at Mumbai.

The winner will get a chance to make his/ her acting debut in TV channel BIG MAGIC’s comedy caper ‘Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai’ and an opportunity to meet Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who also endorses Hajmola as a brand.

Commenting on the campaign Vineet Mittal, Business Head, BIG RURAL said: “We are launching the comedy hunt in Maharashtra with the promise of providing the people with another set of laughs.”

Speaking about the initiative, Ayan Chaudhari, Brand Head-Hajmola, Dabur India Ltd. said: “We are  looking forward to the opportunities that season 2 of Hajmola Chatpata No.1 will open up by breaking the monotony of communication and engaging audience in an hilarious manner.”
