Big FM’s Radio movie on Mother’s Day

Indian network 92.7 BIG FM is planning to mark Mother’s Day with a radio movie titled ‘My Mom, My Hero’.

The station is giving its listeners a chance to showcase their most memorable experiences with their mothers through a contest through which five best stories will be shortlisted.

One lucky winner will get an opportunity to have his or her story scripted into a two-hour radio movie to be aired across all 45 stations of the network on May 17.

The station has also roped in Bollywood director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and producer director Raman Kumar to be a part of the initiative.

Speaking about his involvement in the campaign, Mehra stated: “The fact that we will be making a movie based on a true story between the relationship of a mother and her child is what stands out here. An audio movie is definitely a challenge to bring out the emotions and sentiments right and there is no challenge more sacred in its beauty than this.”

Kumar said: “A mother’s love remains unparalleled to any other and scripting a story on life’s experiences is definitely a first one for me. It is as much a challenge as it is an honour because we are talking about the sentiments of two human beings and capturing it without visuals.”

Ashwin Padmanabhan, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, 92.7 BIG FM, said: “We want listeners to take a moment and thank their mothers, something they may have forgotten to do in a long while or are just shy of telling how thankful they are.”

The station will also dedicate their programming to mothers and invite celebrities to share interesting stories about their memories with their mothers.
