Big FM to release nine music videos to mark Navratri festival

Indian network Big FM is celebrating the Hindu festival of Navratri with an initiative called ‘Suron Ki Nau Deviyan’ (Nine Goddesses of Music).

Navratri is a multi-day Hindu festival celebrated in the autumn every year. It celebrates either goddess Durga or Rama’s victory over an evil demon, depending on the region in the country.

Big FM’s campaign is a nine-day musical fest with the message of women empowerment.

The station will specially compose nine sufi-folk songs highlighting the virtues of nine goddesses during Navratri.

Nine female artists including Shweta Pandit, Harshdeep Kaur, Prajakta Shukre and Shradha Pandit will feature solo in the videos of these songs.

They will also connect with listeners during a one-hour special evening show dedicated to each singer from September 21 to 29.

The one-hour special show will be based on the theme which symbolise the virtue of the goddess of that specific day such as strength, beauty, power etc.
