BIG FM launches new show for farmers

Through the use of storytelling, 92.7 BIG FM has launched a show for rural and agricultural communities in India.

‘Mere Desh Ki Dharti’ (My Country’s Soil) brings the latest developments in agriculture to listeners of its six stations in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

The show tells the story of a student who returns to his village after a long time to see that a lot has changed in the field.

His father, a progressive farmer, then tells him about the new agricultural techniques that are now being used.

The show also features success stories in the farming community, expert opinions and a wide range of agriculture related topics.

It airs every Sunday at 7am with the concluding episode on June 15 and is produced in association with the Indian Council For Agriculture and Research.
