According to BIG, the biggest hits from the era were played at college canteens and festivals on cassette players and still find their way into sangeet ceremonies and people’s playlists.

The 90s was marked by unforgettable Bollywood classic films like Bombay, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kareeb, Dil Se.., Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Taal.

Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head 92.7 BIG FM said: “A little more than 2 years ago we took the untrodden path and designed our positioning around timeless hits”.

“And now, encouraged by the massive success of our retro stationality, we have decided to go one step further and let listeners reminisce their college days with hit music from the 90s. We are confident that this move will be much appreciated as we go about introducing newer dimensions to our music programming.”
