Mumbai’s 92.7 BIG FM, part of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, has moved up to second in terms of Time Spent Listening (TSL) and Share in RAM ratings released for the fourth week of 2014.

BIG FM switched to fully retro programming less than a year ago and the strategy seems to be paying off.

Its early morning show ‘Seher’, breakfast show and mid morning show ‘Suhaana Safar’ with famous TV personality Annu Kapoor are the number one shows in the city in their slots, against seven competing stations.

The mid-morning show is also number two in TSL and share with 5.04 and 15 points respectively.

Radio ratings in India are reported weekly and unlike other markets, topline figures tend to show consistent results for months or years at a time.

Some analysts blame the slow turnover of survey participants for the results.

Fever 104 Fm is at the top spot in TSL with a score of 5.54 and Radio City 91.9 FM leads in terms of Share in Mumbai with a score of 18.8 over the week.

Big 92.7 FM credits its talented hosts along with path breaking innovations and concepts for the success.
