Big FM campaigns for women to take a stand

India’s 92.7 Big FM recently launched a campaign across the state of Karnataka to empower women and provide them with career counselling sessions to help them achieve their goals.

The campaign, ‘Banao Khud Ki Pehchan’ (Make Your Own Identity), will run across 30 cities and districts of the southern state.

A team of expert trainers will visit colleges and professional institutions in each of these locations to counsel, train and groom women to make the right career choice.

According to the station, the counselling sessions are designed to encourage self-reliance amongst women so they can make accurate professional decisions with confidence, ensuring future financial independence.

The station will also give on-air support to the on-ground initiative.

Vineet Mittal, Business Head-Rural, 92.7 Big FM said: “As a radio network that offers an exceptional programming mix to our young listeners, our reach to young women between the age group of 16 and 24 is tremendous. This enables us to largely connect with the youth at all times and we like to take every opportunity we get to show them the right way for a successful future. Banao Khud Ki Pehchan is one

such platform which we can utilize for the empowerment of young women.”
