The official YouTube page of Malaysian station BFM 89.9 now has 1.13 million subscribers and it has received a Gold Play Button from YouTube.
The channel started on September 29, 2010, and now shows many videos related to business news, politics, social issues and various interviews with local and international figures.
The announcement also said that “This was supposed to be a ‘Let’s try and see’ thing. We started with no master plan. Just a lot of free office coffee, countless bad drafts and the occasional 2 am aha moment. And secretly shedding a tear whenever we get ‘love this post’ comments.”
The station has also disabled its YouTube ads forever to celebrate this occasion, and will be giving away free car stickers until July 30, 2026.
BFM 89.9’s YouTube page has more subscribers than their followers on other social media platforms such as X (219,000 followers), Facebook (362,000 followers) and Instagram (199,000 followers).
