Astro Radio’s GEGAR won the ‘Best in Consumer Satisfaction’ award at the MCMC Star Rating Awards 2021, on December 21, 2022 for radio category.

MCMC Star Rating Awards were first introduced in 2016, recognising outstanding services provided by
telecommunication companies to consumers as well as to instill a culture of quality excellence and create
a healthy competitive environment between the service providers.

The winners were chosen based on the important role played by the industry players in providing excellent services through three main sectors including telecommunications, broadcasting and courier industries.

The award was presented by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister, Communications and Digital, Datuk Seri
Mohammad Mentek, Secretary General, Communications and Digital and Datuk Mohd Ali Hanafiah
Mohd Yunus, Chief Operating Officer, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

Raja Nadia Raja Hisham, Content Manager, GEGAR, who received the award for the brand’s outstanding achievement in consumer satisfaction said: “We thank all Malaysians for their support and look forward to
continue pioneering the best services in the local radio landscape, especially to our listeners in the East
Coast Malaysia.”
