Aisyah Aziz is iM4U fm’s D.I.Y Style 2.0 Winner

Aisyah Aziz was crowned as the winner of Malsysian youth station iM4U fm’s D.I.Y Style 2.0 contest.

 

This singing competition lets local artists experiment with their musical prowess in different genres and switch-ups.

Aziz also took home the title for ‘Best Vocal’ at the finale.

She performed the song ‘Coba’ that was originally sung by Faizal Tahir, along with Najib – who was visually impaired since birth and a member of Copypaste Buskers.

They both won RM 5,000 where a sum of the prize money would be donated to

PersatuanKanak-Kanak Istimewa Kajang.

Lea Ismail was the runner up. She was partnered with Zafina – a visually impaired 17-year old musician who adored Korean Pop and music production, in the song ‘Pokok’ that was originally sung by Meet Uncle Hussain and Hazama.

Eyza Bahra came in third with her co-performer Mazwan in their rendition of ‘Hijau’.

DiandraArjunaidi, who performed the song ‘SentuhanListrikmu’ with Afifah, was in the fourth place while Bil Musa, came in fifth with the song ‘Sang Penikam’ that she performed with Rafizza.

“D.I.Y Style is a platform for talented inviduals. It creates the opportunity for musically gifted individuals to be heard. Besides that, it also gives back to the society in different ways,” says Kartini Ariffin, iM4U fm Director.

This year’s panel of judges included AG Coco (Producer and Musician), Natalie Kniese (TV Host and Radio Announcer), Amir Jahari (SInger-Songwriter), Tan ShyueWern (iM4U’s Brand Management Director) and Muhd Faiz (Vice Precident of PertubuhanAmal Pembangunan Usahawan OKU Penglihatan Malaysia PERKUM).
