Indian national broadcaster All India Radio’s (AIR) Vijayawada station director M Krishna Kumari has called for empowering women as decision makers, according to The Hans India.

She was speaking at the inauguration of vocational training courses for women at a local college on Monday.

She said that women empowerment and development can be achieved when women are not just economically stable but also when they emerge as decision makers and tackle a key role in every walk of life.

Citing examples of women who rose to fame in various fields across the globe with their hard work and strong determination, she urged young girls to draw inspiration from them.
