Virgin Radio Dubai’s Brent Black, Maz and Kris Fade are hoping to be picked as Best Radio DJ in a national magazine’s ‘people’s choice’ awards.

The annual celebration of Abu Dhabi’s finest personalities and places, the ‘Ahlan! Awards 2014’ is asking listeners to choose their favourite DJ.

The awards, based on nominations from Abu Dhabi residents, have 15 different categories.

Other radio finalists are: Radio One’s Danny C, Sheena Kay and Saif Al Naji, along with Catboy and Natalie Price from Dubai 92 and Radio 2’s Schooly and Daisy Clarkson.

The mag team are encouraging fans to vote online and through social media by clicking the ‘Vote’ button on the nominee of their choice at www.ahlanawards.com.

Voting takes place until May 20, when one reader who’has voted will be selected at random to win more than $2,700 (Dhs 10,000).
