Abraham Thomas returns as CEO of Radio City

Music Broadcast Limited, the parent company of Indian network Radio City, has appointed Abraham (Abe) Thomas as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025.

This is his second stint with the company in the position and also the second time he succeeds Ashit Kukian, who had earlier succeeded Thomas after his first stint in 2018.

Kukian, who  stepped down to pursue a new professional opportunity, clarified in his resignation that there were no material concerns behind his exit.

He has also relinquished his seat on the company’s Risk Management Committee.

Kukian had earlier served as CEO till 2015 when Thomas succeeded him, only to return as CEO in 2018 to succeed Thomas.

Thomas has over 30 years of leadership experience in the media landscape, having worked with brands including BIG FM, RED FM, Sony Entertainment Television, MTV Asia, and The Indian Express. He also co-founded One Network Entertainment, a digital video venture.

The board has named Rajiv Shah as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel, effective August 20, 2025. A Chartered Accountant by training, Shah joined Radio City in 2022 and has been steering investor relations and corporate strategy.
