987FM Radio Star finalists to face the judges

MediaCorp Singapore’s English station 987FM is all set to find a new, dynamic radio DJ this Saturday with the finale of ‘987 Radio Star 2014’.

In its fourth year, the nationwide competition saw auditions being conducted at schools and public venues to choose eight finalists through public voting.

They were then mentored by past winners past winners Sonia Chew and Kimberley Wang alongside The Muttons, Justin Ang & Vernon A.

It’s now down to the Top 5 and the finals will be held this Saturday.

The finalists include Phua Daffril Izzad, Nur Jannah Cheang Binte Muhd Khairi, Tan Yu Xuan Charmian, Martin Chew Shi Qiang and Ariel Tee.

Winner will take home $3,000 cash, a contract with 987FM, a trip to Amazing Sydney with STA Travel and the new Sony Xperia C3.

Judges for the grand finale include DJs Mike Kasem and Rosalyn Lee, Assistant Programme Director for 987FM, Vanessa Fernandez and Vice-President of English Programming, MediaCorp Radio, Georgina Chang.
