The 15th International Radio Festival of Iran will be held along with the 7th international radio forum from April 20 to 23 at IRIB Conference Center, Tehran.
It will be a 4-day event with a wide range of top international experts, executives and professionals, producers and managers from around the world and from across Asia, Africa and Europe.
It is the biggest event in the radio calendar in the Middle East and North Africa, receiving entries from radio stations and independent producers every two years from all around the globe.
It provides participants with an opportunity to express their creativity and imagination, interact with others from the radio world, and compete for a trophy.
The organisers hope for it to be a wide arena for demonstrating theoretical and scientific potential of radio.
The event will be a step toward achieving the ultimate goal of enhancing the technical and artistic quality of radio production by sharing experiences and perspectives, motivating and discovering talent, demonstrating creativity and commemorating radio programmers and in introducing radio networking capabilities and enhancing empathy among the radio colleagues.
The festival is open to entries in the following categories:
- Documentary – up to 30 minutes
- Docudrama – up to 30 minutes
- Mini Feature – up to 5 minutes
- Short Drama – up to 5 minutes
- Community/Public Service Announcement – up to 90 seconds
- On-Air Personality – up to 60 minutes
- Edutainment – up to 60 minutes
- User Generated Content Programs – up to 60 minutes
Entries will be judged on originality of the content, creativity, sound quality, production techniques and entertainment and informative value as well as on effectiveness of the message and the ability of the program producer to reach an audience.
Entries close February 28th.
The winner in each category will be awarded a trophy and €1000 while the runners up will receive a certificate of appreciation and €700.
Finalists will be announced in March 2020 and the full programme will be released soon after.
