Indonesia’s Solo Radio 92.9 FM celebrated its 11th anniversary on Tuesday with the theme ‘Sriwedari’ which is the icon of Solo city park.
The station is targeted at young audience and has the tag line ‘Famous Fit and Fashionable’.
It ran on-air themes like ‘11 Days of Nonstop Request’ before the anniversary and every show invited the audience to request their 11 favorite songs .
It also presented a quiz called ‘Lucky Solo Spot’ where the station gave away gifts at 11 different points across the city.
The station’s birthday also coincided with the ceremonial launch of the new Solo Radio office building.
The event featured a welcoming dance performance featuring the station crew.
National artist Afgan also performed on air and as a part of “Special moments with Afgan”.
He also had a meet and greet session held together with 11 winners of the quiz competition ‘Sriwedari’, which ran for 11 days leading up to the station’s birthday.
