Te Mahi – About the job
Morning Report is looking for a Digital Producer with news experience, to work with the programme’s dedicated production team to help create a vibrant online experience.

In collaboration with RNZ’s newsroom and digital team, you will draw on a wide range of story-telling techniques including visual elements, strong writing, and research and angle generation to develop a social media audience and engage with that audience.

As you will be working with the industry’s top talent and covering the highest profile stories in NZ and overseas, you will need to be committed to the highest standards of journalism and have a thorough understanding of national and international news.

Working as part of a team in a high energy programming environment, you’ll:

  • have daily news experience
  • be able to work under pressure
  • be brimming with ideas and ways to turn them into compelling radio and online content
  • be social media savvy

Your collaborative approach will allow you to forge and maintain essential links across the News and Digital team and the wider organisation.
