COME Monday morning, the war will begin – and not just for the thousands of commuters braving peak-hour traffic as the working year officially takes hold, reports the Daily Telegraph. It also marks the beginning of the first 2014 radio survey period, and what is shaping up to be an intriguing battle in the most hotly contested arena of all – breakfast, a radio market that includes 3.9 million Sydneysiders. As regular listeners know all too well, next week will see the beginning of the ultimate showdown: reigning duo Kyle and Jackie O against their four-member replacement act.
