Podcasting pioneer and leading US creative Eric Nuzum will be the headline speaker at this year’s ABU CON-FEST, taking place from 7–9 July in Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the Content Festival or Con-Fest is a landmark event for video, audio and digital content-creators and creatives from across the Asia-Pacific media sector. This event attracts over 350 delegates and offers an invaluable platform for attendees, speakers and sponsors alike to engage with a dynamic, diverse and influential audience.
This year, the ABU Media & Culture Days joins CON-FEST, exploring the theme “Next-Gen Content & Culture,” focusing on the future of storytelling, media innovation, and cultural expression.
Nuzum, co-founder of Magnificent Noise and a leading figure in global podcasting, will lead a hands-on workshop on day 1, giving participants insights into developing compelling digital content and building a strong connection with audiences. He will also be in conversation on day 2, sharing his experience creating hit podcasts and shaping the growth of on-demand audio worldwide.
The event opens with a “Media at a Crossroads” discussion featuring leading media executives from across the region.
Across the three days, the programme includes:
- Showcases of innovative projects using AI and immersive storytelling
- Discussions on building digital communities around podcasts, brands and shows
- Insights into emerging distribution models, including FAST (free ad-supported streaming) channels
