Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It’s been said that you’re not really a career broadcaster unless you’ve worked Christmas Day. It’s a Radio rite of passage. Another one of those sacrifices that Radio demands of its tribe. You entertain the masses as they gather ‘round the tree, exchanging presents and goodwill, while your own family patiently wait for Daddy or Mummy to come home.

How has working on Christmas Day affected you and your family? Should radio remain ‘live and local’ even on Christmas or is there a good case for more automation and networking?

Tell us about your Christmas Day broadcast experiences or just express you Christmas wishes to fellow readers. Speaking of which, from all of us here at radioinfo we thank you for your support throughout 2004 and trust you will have a delightful Christmas followed by an exciting and prosperous 2005.
