What’s news worth to radio? Management certainly knows what it costs. For many music stations that three minutes at the top of the hour can cost more than the other 57 combined.

While conventional wisdom has it that older audiences require more substantial news, a survey conducted by AFTRS students suggests that young people care about what’s happening in the world around them almost as much.
