Rti launches program training Taiwan’s next generation of global communicators

Radio Taiwan International (Rti) has launched a new program called “Young Voice 100″ to strengthen the presence and impact of Taiwanese youth in the international communication sphere.

The program aims to cultivate young communication professionals equipped with media literacy, vocal expression skills, and a global communication perspective.

The first in-person training activity of the program will take place from April 25 to 26 at the Chunghwa Telecom Training Institute in Taichung. The two-day camp, called “Your Voice, Your Future, Your Podcast,” is co-organized by the Rti Academy and Tunghai University’s Political Science Department. Registration is open to college students across Taiwan.

The intensive short-term training course includes program planning and positioning, interviewing and hosting techniques, vocal performance, and program production. Participants will gain practical experience through hands-on exercises and group presentations, ultimately completing a program proposal.

“Your Voice, Your Future, Your Podcast” also serves as a key selection stage for an advanced training program. Outstanding participants from the camp will have the opportunity to enter advanced training at Rti, where they will be mentored by professional hosts and producers from various departments.

The camp plans to admit 50 participants with a 10-person waiting list. The registration period runs from February 10 to March 20 at 5 p.m. and admission results will be released by March 31. It is open to all currently enrolled university students in Taiwan, including graduate and doctoral students and regardless of nationality. Applicants must submit proof of enrollment and a one-minute self-introduction video.
