UPDATE: WINNERS NOW ANNOUNCED.
From hundreds of entries, the judges have selected 80 Finalists across 23 categories in this year’s list.
As podcasts gain popularity in more Asian countries, the number of extries in these awards have expanded massively. The competition has never been as intense as this year, so just getting to the finalist stage is a mark of success. Winners will be announced next month at the RadioDays Asia conference in Jakarta, and at the same time here on radioinfo.
This year’s People’s Choice Award voting is now open. Fans can vote for their favourite podcast in this survey.
The judging committee tried to keep the amount of finalists as low as possible, aiming for about 4 finalists in each category, but in the most popular categories we could not separate the top entries, so we have named more finalists than usual. It is an indication of the growing quality and sophistication of podcasts that there are so many highly marked finalists. We will highlight some of the interesting finalists in the next couple of weeks.
