The nominees for this year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards (IWPA) have been announced, with a full list of the nominees available here.
The IWPAs recognises and honours the outstanding contributions made by a wide range of folks in the podcasting sector, from those who are self-taught and producing shows solo, to those part of larger teams at established audio companies. Podcasting is a powerful medium that provides a platform for people to tell their story, showcase their work, and have their voice heard.
This year’s event will showcase the remarkable work and creative excellence of podcasters across ten categories. From educational and informative shows, to captivating storytelling, the International Women’s Podcast Awards will recognise those creating exceptional work. A panel of judges consisting of podcasters, journalists, and experienced professionals have evaluated the submitted entries and will select the winners across all categories.
The 2025 IWPAs received entries from a record 35 countries, showing that the international reach of both podcasting as a medium and the International Women’s Podcast Awards continues to grow.
With entries from countries including Senegal, Qatar and the Philippines across 10 categories, the judging panel, consisting of podcasting and audio professionals globally, were deeply impressed with the breadth and quality of entries submitted this year.
The team at the IWPAs are looking forward to meeting many of those who entered the awards at this year’s event, where winners and runners up will be recognised for creating exceptional ‘moments’ of audio brilliance.
Now in its 5th year, the awards will take place on Tuesday 17th June at the BBC Radio Theatre with an accompanying global livestream, bringing together podcasters, audio professionals, and podcast enthusiasts to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in podcasting worldwide.
Tickets to the event are available now via the IWPA webpage.
