According to the latest Nielsen Consumer & Media View (CMV) findings for 2024, Media Prima Audio (MPA) Malaysia continued to dominate the local radio scene. It five radio brands Hot FM, Fly FM, Kool 101, Molek FM and Eight FM, managed to record weekly listeners of 5.9 million
Hot FM remains the nation’s number one station with 3.9 million weekly listeners, showing an increase of 3.1 percent. Its flagship morning show, Bekpes Hot, grew significantly by 12.3 percent, drawing in over 2.4 million listeners. On the digital platform, Hot FM recorded over 1.3 billion video views.
Molek FM saw the biggest leap, rising 43.4 percent to 710,000 weekly listeners and securing its spot as the number one station on the East Coast among audiences aged 15 to 59.
With 2.2 million weekly listeners, Fly FM continues to win over fans of English radio, playing 27 percent more music than any other English-language station.
Kool 101 showed 22.8 percent growth, reaching nearly 480,000 weekly listeners, while also generating 357 million video views and 17 million social interactions.
Eight FM continues to strengthen its position amongst the Chinese-language listeners with nearly 360,000 listeners, 108 million video views and 16 million interactions on digital platforms.
