Second Global Media Peace Awards: entries now open

The Executive Education of HEC Montréal, in collaboration with Pale Bleu Dot Foundation – Japan, is launching the second edition of the Global Media Peace Awards (GMPA) as an attempt to encourage and support peace-building efforts across the globe.

GMPA is inviting radio and television broadcasters, digital media experts and citizens, public and private, to demonstrate their abilities to prevent conflict and to resolve conflict by sharing their local, regional, and international stories in conflict prevention and resolution.

There will be three cash awards across Radio, Television and Digital Media. First prize is C$5000, second prize is C$2500 and the third is of C$1500.

There are no registration fees from participating organizations or individuals.

Entry deadline is August 31, 2025. Media programs produced in English or French (subtitle accepted) between January 2024 and August 2025 are acceptable.

Each participant / media organisation can submit up to three entries: one entry, in each category, either reportage, documentary, or docudrama, with a maximum duration of 52 minutes. Entries must be free from any political propaganda or intentional commercial advertising. News reporting and storytelling through animation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are also acceptable.
