Big FM’s stand-up hunt finds its winner

India’s 92.7 Big FM held the grand finale of ‘Hajmola Chatpata No. 1 – Season 2’ – a talent hunt for the best stand up comics from the state of Maharashtra – in Mumbai on February 26.

Saddam Shaikhh from Aurangabad was declared the winner from 14 finalists who performed at the event.

Shaikhh also won a chance to make his acting debut in TV channel BIG MAGIC’s comedy caper ‘Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai’ and an opportunity to meet Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who also endorses Hajmola as a brand.

The contest was judged by Devgn along with television actor Sumit Vats and last year’s winner Harsh Saxena.

Commenting on the campaign, Ajay Devgn stated: “I have done various comic roles myself and am of the view that making people laugh is a difficult thing to do and that those who genuinely have the passion to make people laugh should certainly come forward since it is the best gift one can give himself and others too.”

Vineet Mittal, Business Head, BIG RURAL, said: “We look forward to creating many more such partnerships in the future to give way to many more properties that are entertaining and far-reaching.”
