Singapore’s Y.E.S. 93.3 FM will broadcast the 14th Global Chinese Music Awards (GCMA), which were held in Guangzhou last Saturday.
GCMA recognises the best Mandopop talents from the region and are co-organised by Y.E.S. FM along with Radio Beijing, Radio Guangdong, Radio Television Hong Kong, Shanghai’s Pop 101, Taiwan’s Pop Radio and Malaysia’s 988FM.
Hong Kong singer Julian Cheung was named the Most Popular Male Artiste and Joey Yung won the Most Popular Female Artiste awards.
Chinese singer and songwriter Hins Cheung won the Best Male Artiste Awards while the Best Female Artist award went to Fiona Sit.
The next edition of the awards will be held in Singapore to celebrate the nation’s golden jubilee and Y.E.S. FM’s 25th anniversary.
