Star Radio Group station 988 FM, held a vigil on Thursday night  in support of those passengers and crew missing along with Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Listeners were invited to express their hopes and prayers by writing it on balloons and boards in preparation for a display in front of Tropicana City Office Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

There was also performances by local Chinese artistes, who came together to show their solidarity.

A passenger jet on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, Flight MH370 disappeared without a trace less than an hour after take-off on March 8 and has since been missing.

227 passengers of 15 nationalities and 12 crew members were on board.

Intensive search operations involving more than 30 aircraft and 40 ships from various countries are still underway.
