Delhi RJ Swati runs Pinkathon for breast cancer

Red FM’s RJ Swati helped raise awareness for breast cancer in India by taking part in the Delhi Pinkathon run on Sunday.

She was joined by around 2,000 other women – according to local media – for the 10k race, which is organised across 10 cities every year.

The run is put on by a company owned by fitness fanatic Milind Soman.

Swati who co-hosts Morning No 1 with RJ Rocky spent a month in training.

Last year, fellow Red FM RJ Mallishka ran in the Mumbai Pinkathon race.

Speaking before Sunday’s race, Red FM’s Chief Operating Officer Nisha Narayana said: “We are excited to be back on board for the Pinkathon in Delhi. It is always interesting to associate with events which have a social cause and I am sure Swati , as the Brand Mascot for the run in Delhi, would bring the right mix of gravitas and entertainment to the entire event.”

In India, there are an estimated 115,000 new cases of breast cancer every year.
