NEWS Limited chief executive Kim Williams said yesterday the company’s strong rejection of the government’s media reforms was "entirely motivated by free speech", as Kerry Stokes’s Seven West Media warned the proposals would "neuter free speech". Media bosses continued to press home their grave concerns about the reforms as Communications Minister Stephen Conroy refused to back away from his "take it or leave it" deadline for their passage.
