Australia’s radio bosses are in a desperate race to uncover the new U2 single, which has supposedly leaked onto the internet, reports The Daily Telegraph. Radio stations have begun devoting staff to comb file sharing sites to find leaked tracks before their listeners do. Nova 969 has already uncovered Darren Hayes’ new single, ‘Popular’, broadcasting it three weeks before official release. Nova PD, Scott Muller, defends the practice, saying the stations has to play sought after tracks as soon as they become available.
